Issue

On certain vehicles, the connection for the electric hydraulic power steering pump (EHPSP) could become loose. If this happens, the EHPSP connection could overheat and melt.

Safety risk

Wiring that overheats and melts can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.

Corrective actions

To reduce the safety risk, FCA recommends that you should park your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the affected part(s).
