Issue
On certain child car seats, the adjustable headrest may change position in a crash when installed in forward-facing mode with the headrest in positions 10 or 11. Canadian regulations require that the position of the headrest remains the same. Note: This recall only affects REO convertible car seats manufactured between February 2025 and June 2026.
Safety risk
A headrest that changes positions in a crash could increase the risk of injury.
Corrective actions
Evenflo will notify registered owners in writing and provide you with a remedy kit. Evenflo advises that you may continue to use the seat in forward-facing mode with any headrest position other than 10 or 11, or in rear-facing mode with any headrest position other than 11. You should contact Evenflo to obtain a free remedy kit and instructions for how to install it.
