Issue
Under certain conditions, when using a USB or Bluetooth connection, the instrument cluster could reset, freeze, or go blank. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. Additionally, during the cluster reset, the turn signals and hazard lights may not work.
Safety risk
Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when the rider intends to turn or change lanes. Hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
BRP will notify owners in writing and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the instrument cluster software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a BRP dealership.
