Vertical Blinds with Split-Draw recalled due to strangulation hazard for children

Affected products
This recall involves four types of custom Vertical Blinds with Split-Draw manufactured by Springs Window Fashions: 3 ½" Premium Wood Vertical Blind, Designer Fabric Verticals, Premium Fabric Vertical, and Premium Smooth Vertical.
The product label on the top of the headrail of the recalled blinds will have an "S" in the upper right-hand corner of the label; list the manufacturer on the label as SWF Middleton, WI US C; and show the manufacture date in the lower right corner after May 1, 2022 (format is either YYYY/MM/DD or YY/MM/DD).
Issue
The recalled blinds do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death.
Children can become entangled in blinds cords, which can quickly lead to strangulation and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Blind Cord Safety.
As of March 19, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Springs Window Fashions, LLC to receive a replacement window covering.
