This recall involves certain units of Anker Power Bank A1647 and Anker Zolo Power Banks A1681 and A1689.

Certain units of the model numbers listed above are affected by this recall. The affected units can be identified by specific product serial numbers, printed either on the side or back of the products. Note: Consumers should pay close attention to the letters and numbers in the serial number, such as "1," "L," "I," "2," and "Z." Characters like "0" (zero) and "O" (the letter O) can be easily confused. Serial numbers of affected products do not contain the letters "O" or "I." Consumers can refer to the Anker website to determine if their serial number is affected: www.anker.com/ca/rc2506

Issue

The lithium-ion batteries in certain units of the recalled Anker Power Bank A1647 and Anker Zolo Power Banks A1681 and A1689 may overheat, posing a fire hazard.

As of June 18, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Anker Power Bank A1647 and Anker Zolo Power Banks A1681 and A1689 and contact Anker for a free replacement unit or receive a voucher for use on Anker’s official website.  Safely dispose of the items in such a way that they cannot be used again. Contact your municipality for instructions on how to safely transport and dispose of lithium-ion batteries.  Batteries are considered hazardous waste. Do not place them in household garbage.
