Olympus Medical Systems Corp. is initiating this recall following the discovery that adhesive was not added during a manufacturing step for the insertion tube. Products manufactured and serviced with the non-conforming insertion tube could potentially develop a leak, which may pose an infection control risk. Olympus did not receive any reported complaints or injury associated with this matter. Olympus will contact customers to repair affected BF-XT160 Bronchovideoscopes.
