Affected products
This recall involves certain RYOBI 2300 PSI 1.2GPM Electric Pressure Washers and RYOBI 2700 PSI 1.1GPM Electric Pressure Washers manufactured between March 2017 and May 2023. The pressure washers are green and have a spray nozzle, a detergent tank with a blue cap and storage for accessories. RYOBI is printed on the front of the unit.
The recall only includes pressure washers with the model and serial number below. The model and serial number can be found on the data plate of the product, located on the side of the motor housing.

Issue
In certain circumstances the pressure washers’ capacitor can overheat and burst, causing parts to be forcefully ejected, posing a potential risk of serious injury from impact to the user or bystanders.
As of August 20, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 135 reports of incidents and 32 reports of injuries.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact TTIOPE to receive a free repair kit. The repair kit consists of a replacement capacitor and installation instructions. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
