Affected products
This recall involves Vivohome adult portable bed rails sold to assist the elderly in getting up and going to bed. The recalled bed rails come in a wooden color and have four metallic stand bars with model VH1316CA-WC printed on the packaging and the product registration card. The production code is 20230801001.
Issue
When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This can pose an entrapment hazard and a risk of death by asphyxiation.
As of December 10, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Vivohome for a refund. Consumers should write “RECALLED” on the rails with a permanent marker and then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with municipal waste guidelines.
